Halloween in the Pandemic

Today is Halloween dress up day at our school, since Halloween is on the weekend we have the option to dress up today. I didn’t dress up as anything because I couldn’t find any good costumes, but I am seeing a lot of good costumes this year. The way that Halloween is going to work at our school this year is that everyone has to wear a mask (even if you have a Halloween mask)  and we have a photobooth for if you want to take pictures of your costume, otherwise there is nothing special happening for Halloween.

The Perfect Keyboard

  In this post I’m going to walk you through picking the perfect keyboard.

First thing you are going to want to do is pick your price range, so picking your price range is important if you want to have a decently priced affordable keyboard, I would recommend a $50-$200 keyboard  Because they are affordable and most are durable and high quality.

 

Second thing you want to do is to figure out your use for the keyboard, for example mine is going to be for gaming so I would search for “gaming keyboards”If you are not going to be using your keyboard for gaming then just search “keyboard.”

 

Third thing you want to do is choose the feel for your keyboard, so if you want a nice keyboard for gaming I would recommend a mechanical keyboard but if you get annoyed by having that clicky noise all the time then I would recommend a mechanical keyboard. After you choose the type of keyboard you want choose the size, choosing sizing is important if you want to save space, I would recommend a 60 percent keyboard for gaming and a 100 percent keyboard for regular use, what I’m referring to by “percent” is the size of the keyboard. After you pick the size pick the keycaps and switches you are going to want to pick nice feeling keycaps for your keyboard so you can be comfortable while using it, then pick your switches, switches are what controls the response time, noise, and travel rate. I would recommend blue switches for a mechanical keyboard because they have good travel rate, good response time, and low noise levels.

Fourth thing you need to do is to figure out the look of the keyboard you want so if you want RGB then search up and RGB keyboard and then the color you want if you don’t want RGB then just search up the color of your choice keyboard.

 

After you have done all that then create a search listing all those things, for example my search was “black RGB mechanical gaming keyboard 60% with blue switches” and then pick your price range options on whichever site you are buying from.

Snow Days Ruined…

We should have snow days off!

So if you didn’t know, since Coronavirus happened we have online school and that means we actually have a way to do online school on snow days. I talked to a teacher about this and they said that we will not have snow days and we will do online school on the potential snow days. I am going to try and make a petition and get around 100 people to sign it and then send it to Mr. Meredith to make snow days actual snow days and hopefully it works! Great Halloween Costume Ideas!

Halloween is going to be here in a few weeks so I thought I would share 5 great costume ideas for the upcoming holiday.

  1. Be a celebrity! So if you want to be someone well known for Halloween  you can be your favorite actor or your favorite musician, for example last Halloween I was the guitar player from Guns n Roses “Slash” and a lot of people loved it!
  2. Be a video game character! So if you are a gamer (like me) than you have probably seen some cool characters from your favorite video games, for example you could be a simple character from the popular murder mystery game among us.
  3. Go as food! A lot of people go as their favorite cereal or their favorite type of food and I think it’s a great idea for a costume.
  4. Be something scary! Halloween is mostly associated with scary things like clowns, ghosts and ghouls so you could go as one of those.
  5. Go as something related to your favorite hobbies! So I know a lot of people have favorite things to do and so if you can’t pick something to be then think about your favorite hobbys and pick something related to that.
